Z06 Stereo
I've got a black Z06 on it's way....
I'm curious why the cd changer isn't an option on the Z06?
What have others done? Full replacement, or is there a way to make the GM one work...

I'd advise getting the conversion cable and an Alpine or Kenwood changer. Personally I had a spare 12-disc factory changer that I lifted from my last car before trading it in. Through trial and error I was able to locate the harness cable and was able to put it in myself. Mounting vertically in the center well of the trunk caused it to skip like a bi-otch, so I moved it up to lay horizontally in the trunk behind the passenger pointing towards the driver. I bought some velcro strips with adhesive and just velcroed it to the carpet. It works fantastic.

I dropped over 6k into my stereo system in my Z06!! I listen to the stereo ... almost never!!!! :( Don't get me wrong the stereo is awsome but the exaust sound (Corsas) is just too cool to not listen to!!! :D

So far, I have listened to the radio once or twice. Both times while idling in the garage. Jsut checking the local traffic weather. To this day, I don't even know if my CD play works :eek:
