Default Un-lowering

I recently lowered my '01 Coupe with F45. It handled alot better lower. Now, I'm putting Z06 sways on, and wanted to prep the car first, so that I can test the ride before and after at stock height, and lowered.

So, yesterday, I raised the car back up. Boy, was it a b|tch to do the front. I discovered that not only do you have to jack the spring, for every 1.5 revolutions of the bolt you have to lower the jack to take pressure off the spring, then raise the jack back up to pressure on the spring again, because if you don't you can't even turn the bolt, presumably because when you're raising, you're adding more pre-load to the spring. And, even though I was wearing gloves, I ended up with some major blisters from that little wrench. BTW, it is NOT a 10mm bolt in the front, it's a snug 3/8" bolt. 10mm is too lose.

Anyway, now that I have it back up, it seems like the front is higher than it was before. I'm not sure if it's because I got used to the lowered look, or if it really is higher than it was.

When I lowered it, I wrote down some measurements from ground to fender at the center of the wheels, but I'm not sure whether the measurements I wrote down were stock height or lowered height. DOOOH! :o The measurements I wrote down are 28 3/4" rear and 27 1/4" front. I even wrote down how many revolutions I turned the bolts, just in case I wanted to raise it back up.

Well, I reversed the bolts the same number of turns when raising it last night, and I just took new measurements today. I have 28 7/8" in the rear and 27 7/8" in the front. Since the back is now only 1/8" higher than the rear number I wrote down, I'm thinking the numbers I originally wrote down were the original height before lowering, does that make sense?

But, if that's the case, why is the front so much higher now at 27 7/8" when the numbers written down are 27 1/4"? Does anyone know if it takes a while to settle, like it did when lowering? I wouldn't think it would need to settle any, like it does when lowering, but I can't explain why it's higher. I did drive it around the block last night, then 5 miles today, just in case, but I'm not sure if I need to do more driving to have it settle, if it indeed does need to settle.

Also, does anyone have any height measurements for stock and/or lowered-all-the-way-on-stock bolts heights for front and back, so that I at least have some frame of reference?

In case it matters, I seem to recall the car dropped 7/8" front and back when I lowered it.

I know I saw a thread somewhere where someone posted some numbers, but the search function isn't working right now.

Any help would be appreciated.

OK, the Search function works again, and from what I gather from other posts, it looks like the original measurements I wrote down were before I lowered. Now, all I need is someone to measure their stock coupe and tell me the height from the ground to the fenderwells in the center of the tire for both front and back. That way I'll know if maybe instead of 27 3/4" in the front, I wrote 27 1/4", and my car is the right stock height. Either way, I won't change anything for a week, just in case some settling is in order.

Thanks again.
