While rushing home because Brown was delivering my exhaust today.
Thankfully, the Sherrif was impressed with the fact that I had velcro'd the cover over my front plate instead of not putting it on at all. That little gem turned reckless into somthing a bit more palatable.
Bought my 02 on 02/14/06 and have driven it exclusively since then with one exception. I took the vette in to have the windows tinted and drove my truck that afternoon. I got a ticket in my truck. First ticket that I have had in 3 years. Everyone told me that I would be getting alot of tickets in a red vette. Turns out I can get one just as easy in a brown truck.
I think i got lucky in Sachse a few days ago. I saw screaming down HWY 78 towards home on my way back from the taco stand. Saw a motorcycle cop sitting in a parking lot turn in, luckilly he was talking to a trucker whom had pulled up next to him and was distracted. Good thing I was quick with my right arm as i applied the brakes liberally else there would have been delicious tacos all over my passenger's side carpet.
You forget that in the sometimes great, mostly annoying, and quite often down right retarded State of Virginia we are still living in the 1950's. Radar detectors are illegal here.
Now, where are the instructions from the guy that wired one into his HUD?
Why just pay the fine and admitt guilt? This is America where your innocent till proven guilty. Go to court and fight it...I went for my ticket and the cop dropped my charge to 5 miles over the limit and no points!! I was going 18 mph over the limit..They just want your money as extra revenue for the town....

So not true! At least not in Prince William County! Way too big and populated for ticket revenue to pay for the costs associated with law enforcement efforts. If that was the case the deputy would have hit him with the RD charge. Besides, the cost of running the courts and such outweighs the "revenue" created by tickets in the first place. Not a very good way to do business. Taxes pay the bills for building the courthouses, jailing prisoners, paying the deputies and clerks, building and grounds maintanence etc, etc,
To answer the original question, yes, you can request driving school and upon successful completion the charge dismissed and removed. But it's conditional. Depends on your driving record, speed associated with the original offense, and you haven't already competed traffic school. Also, check into doing the on-line traffic school. Much more convenient. Good luck.
