Yup, the Goose is humongous...did you notice the white Gee Bee racer in front of the plane? It's almost invisible, because it's dwarfed by the Spruce Goose. And it takes every bit of that building to house the Goose wing tip to wing tip, and nose to tail! Also, note the new building to the right of the main building. I saw it for the first time today, and it is under construction to house more museum additions I presume, since the Goose takes most of the space in the original building.
Cool pics. The Spruce Goose is just amazing when you're up close... I saw it in Long Beach years ago and it's still burned into my memory like few other experiences. WELL worth making the trip to see it if you ever have the opportunity.
In addition to the Spruce Goose, the museum has many other incredible aircraft on display. They have the only surviving "fly-able" ME-109 from WWII, P-51 Mustang, Spitfire, Corsair, and many more great old warbirds.
From your photos I see they have added a lot of new displays outside since I was last there. Time for another tour this year.
Thanks for the pics - the museum is a great place to visit!

duckvett, note that the first few pics are from across the highway from the museum, which is basically the entrance to the Air National Guard, thus the F-15, and the C-130. I am learning more about what the museum has from your post and others. I have been inside just once close to when it opened, and I think there are lots of new things to see. The entrance price is less than I recalled too, so that is good. Someone posted a link that shows the prices.
Everyone, thanks for the kind words about the photography, and/or my C5! I wanted to share pics of it, and desired a unique setting instead of my driveway again, the weather was good, and I lucked out with the results. Too bad I had to shoot into the sun on some of them, like the F-15 shot, but most worked out fine. And hey, you guys are my C5 fam, and who better to tolerate family pictures with. I will probably force you to look at more driveway shots, haha. Jon
Great pics and great information. I, like many, toured the plane when it was in Long Beach. Thanks to DIYGUY for the history of the movement. Good to be on the forum with so much enthuisiasm and broad knowledge with C5 flavor.
