I'm driving down the road today and a guy in nice C5 vert is going by so I do the "Corvette" thing and give him a wave and he doesn't wave back. At first I'm pi$$ed, then I realize I'm driving my Ford Explorer and not my 99 black coupe.

I actually missed returning a wave from a Pewter C5 this afternoon while I was waiting at the light. I was looking straight ahead and didn't see him until he was 3/4 of the way through the intersection and saw his wave, but I was too late to respond. He was long gone. Oh, the feeling of guilt!!
LOL! I was driving my Jeep Wrangler today and waved at a C6 heading towards me. My wife just looks over at me and says "Wrong car....."
I guess next time I am driving the vette, I need to wave at a Jeep owner. They have their waves too.....
Of course, when I moved down to north Florida from Maryland, I had to learn the "southern wave" anyway. You have your left hand draped across the top of the wheel, and just give your wrist a little twitch. Or as an alternative, you can just do a barely perceptible nod with your head.... Both are acceptable.
