Default 3 questions

1. Every once in a while I get an error message about my tire sensor. Always the left rear. When I scroll through the DIC to read tire pressure, it then reads Left Rear xxx. Every time this has happened it then self corrected after the car had been turned off for a while and then restarted. Is this something to be concerned about or just a minor annoyance?

2. My drive way has a bit of a slant and when I back out I always drag just a little. I can pull in without dragging, but backing out it always happens. I don't really see any damage, but I'm sure it's not the best for the car. Any suggestions?

3. As I only have the glass top, quite a bit of sun gets in. I have seen various shades and panels to put on to block some sun. I really like being able to see out the top. MidAmerica has a shade allows you to still see out. Has any one used this or anything else that you like?

As you can probably tell from the questions, I'm a newbie at this business. I've had the car about 2 months now. The honeymoon is definitely not over.

Thanks in advance for your help.

#2 from the OM:

Front Air Dam
Your vehicle is equipped with a front air dam which has
minimal ground clearance for aerodynamics. For this
reason, the air dam has a spring-loaded hinge provided
and it will retract with road contact.
Under normal operation, the air dam will occasionally
contact some road surfaces (speed bumps, driveway
ramps, etc.). This can be heard inside the vehicle as a
scraping noise. This is normal and does not indicate
a problem.
Use care when approaching bumps or objects on road
surfaces and avoid them when possible.

The first sounds like the battery on the sensor may be on its way out. They cost about $80 for a new one but you'll need to pull the wheel to get at it.

The second happens to me occasionally. About the only thing I found was to back off the driveway at an angle to try to raise the offending side of the air dam. Its not a problem if its just a minor scrape but the dam is designed to push towards the rear of the car not the front. Too much pressure and I guess you could pull it off. You could fit frame savers but again they're designed to protect from a front end scrape moving forwards. They're a little too high to protect you with the reversing thing.

Can't help on the third. I have a Vert

i scrap a little when i come out of my driveway.... i filled it in with dirt a few times but it just washes away.... it's just the air dam... i just go slow.

Thanks in advance for your help.

1) The battery maybe low, or the sensor needs re-trained.

2) The front spoilers will drag at times. If you are concerned about the frames on the front dragging, check into the wheels for the frame from one of the vendors. They are like these - Frame Savers

3) I have a solid top, but would consider one of the "shades" as you mentioned.

Welcome and Best of Luck.

#1: I get that fairly often when it gets cold. The message goes away after I drive for a bit.

#2: the scrape should just be the air damn, annoying but not a big deal

#3: I have the same issue and would love to hear an answer
