I had sport seats in my car before but sold them because they weren't in the best condition. My car is a 98 and I just bought some sport seats out of a 2000 car. They are in near mint condition but I am having 2 problems.
The drivers seat is sitting unbalanced like the rail is bent but I've examined it and it looks totally straight and I can't figure out what is causing it to sit lopsided like an unbalanced chair or table. The right front rail is about 1 inch too high and the right rear of the rail is about 1/2 inch off so that when on a flat surface you can move the chair back and forth easily and the chair looks crooked when you look at the headrest.
Also, on the bottom there are 2 connector and there's only one on the passenger side. If I remember right I only have 1 connector on each side right now and they are each black in color. So what is this extra light blue connector for??
Thats a weird problem. I had my seats out and with the way they mount, with anchor bolts front and back of the rail, I can't see how they could be out of true unless the rail was bent.
I'm guessing here but I think one connector is for the power motor to move the seat and the other for the bladder controls for the lumbar support.
Can you adjust the seat so that it is crooked while it is in the car? Maybe that's what happened and then they were removed like that? I really can't see a place where it looks bent or damaged it looks like it was asjusted to be like that
No, the actual rail sits off on the right side so that the chair looks crooked if all of the rails are touching the ground. It's just like an uneven table or chair that you'de sit on that would move back and forth if you sway it.
