Default 28.9 mpg

Drove to Foxwoods resort & casino yesterday. Total 130 miles. About 70% backroads 30% highway. Averaged 28.9 mpg. I was very happy with that. Didn't call it up on the DIC until I drove into my driveway. Oh yeah...didn't get good mileage from the slot machines..

Jake T.

I'm seeing in the posts below that many are from the south. I forgot to mention that it was 32 degrees here when I took the drive. I'm sure that had some affect on the mileage also. Also had a lot of hilly terrain in this trip..so I am very happy with the mileage I got. Thanks guys for the input!

That's about where I was last November on a FANTASTIC run down to Charlottesville and the Blue Ridge Mountain Parkway. 28-29. Some guys claim more but that's the best I've seen. And I wasn't beating it to death but I wasn't doggin' it either.

Just got back from a 600 mile round tripper to St. Louis from Chicago. Averaged 33.6mpg. I was very pleased. 99' MN6 with an exhaust and air intake. Otherwise stock.

Sounds about right to me. Mine is a '99 6-speed also. If I had done all highway I think I would have been in the same range. It's the longest drive I've taken so far with it. Awesome car, no doubt!

Cruise control does wonders for my gas milage. When my right foot gets involved in the equation I can pass anything but a gas station.

Ran Road Atlanta Saturday & averaged 7.6 MPG on 100 octane race fuel @ $7.50/gal But it was worth it.

The high 20's you got sounds good.

The wife and I drove up the coast from SFV to Frisco area. 1200 miles. Up the coast. No babying of the gas pedal. Averaged 25.5. I was impressed. On a shorter trip a while back, cruising 70, got 30 mpg~~

I love it too! Averaged 28 mpg for a 282 mile business trip to Houston and got paid forty something cents PER MILE to do it, now if I could only get paid hourly and miles......

You should come to Road Atlanta. You don't need any experience. Always lots of Vettes there.
