I'm getting a 2001 Z06 and had the vin run by a dealer. This is what I was given. Most of it makes no sense to me.

The one I'm wondering about it the ring one. Looks like them ment to put "on cyl-Both Banks". Sounds like the car might have been reringed.

Please help this newbie.

I would agree. It looks like it got rings in it. the owner was probably one of those people who thought that the piston slap noise is not normal. He probably cried about it and got the car re-ringed to make him feel better.

 

Care has been re-ringed and the valley seal has been chaged out... this is great news. I wouldn't buy an '01 w/o it unless I was ripping the engine out anyway.

Mine's oil burn free after re-ring.

 

Thanks for the help guys. I remember the computer throwing a LDCM and RDCM code. I need to check those out.
