forum member ivan "ivandrea" has been kinda enough to send me all his stuff to use to design a bezel. he is running the kenwood unit. the idea is to move the HVAC down, to make room for the monitor. there will be no "edges" around the monitor.... everything will be molded smooth, and fit right around the monitor.
tom. i have a full day of cutting/molding ahead of me i should have some pics up tom. night to show some progress and give you an idea of what to expect! stay tuned!
You might want to post this in C5 Audio section. There are some REALLY SHARP people there that could answer anything you can throw at them. They were a Great help when I did my first one.
I had an Alpine head unit (which I installed) and then went to a Pioneer AVIC-N1 (AM/FM/Nav/CD/DVD/Rear View camera setup) and had that installed because it was a little more than I wanted to take on. It's a pretty basic install for someone that's knowledgeable in Car Audio (at least that's what my installer said).
The guy that put mine in, has done cars for Oprah, Michael Jordan, and quite a few other celebs, so I figured that I was in pretty good hands.

The pics of your work look amazing. I'll be lurking for the finished product pics and will make a decision on sending you mine for paint and modifications soon after that. For my sake I hope you don't get too backed up in a hurry but for your sake I hope you do Great talent you have.

I need a new bezel for my screen... I used the wrong bondo when i modified mine and it cracked and I have been way to busy/lazy to create another one...

I have the extra snap-in bezel for an Avic D1 if you want it for sizing. I didn't use it for my install but if it will help you build consoles, PM me with your address and I'll send it to you.
