Hi MedChoice Tony -
I disregard the DIC completely - 3500 miles or so.
That might be inefficient, wasteful, and contribute to global warming, but it's what I do.
I actually like working on the vette.
best regards -

I will change it at about 25% unless I am going to be running in a major race - then I will change it before the race.

Thanks..
I was asking because I'm at 88% on the DIC....I'll go ahead and wait until around 50% or so...
Thanks
Tony

One thing to remember is that you need to change the oil at least once per year - even if the DIC doesn't call for it yet

I only drive my car about 5,000 miles/year.
I drive it all year round.
I change the oil before the winter (October) and after the winter (April) without regard to the DIC reading.

I change mine every 6 months, so twice a year..The old rule is every 3 months or 3k miles but since it's synthetic oil I double the time rule since mileage driven is very low...

I run Amsoil, and change it once a year since I only drive about 5- 8,000 miles during that period.
