You can get a fitting kit for the 1.5 DIN standard units. Metra makes one. Forum member Vrum Vrum makes a cool Corvette face plate.
The double DIN head units such as the AVIC D1 need a completely modified console.

i have a write up in the audio section under the c5 audio faq stickie. as far as products, you'll need abs (sheet can be purchased at www.mcmaster.com), a ketchup/mustard squeeze container (the kind you'd bring on picnics) and some acetone or as i'm testing right now with better results; m.e.k.
to get it to look factory you can try to retexture it yourself using some sem texture paint or send it off to www.leathermagic.com and they'll match the texture for you for about $65+ s/h (both ways)
