Default Problem With My Corvette Key!

First off let me say that I am very happy with the look and operation of my new flip key. That being said the key will start my car but the security light will come on and the bcm will show code B2723 until I remove the key. My old key will still work and will not set a code but the new flip key will set the code within seconds. Any help would be great also does anyone have a WORKING number to the company that makes these keys. The one I recieved in the shipping email does not work. BTW my old key reads 11.78k and the new one reads 11.81k but both read as a 15 at the stealership.

Thanks
PROBLEM HAS BEEN FIXED. I HAVE ANOTHER KEY AND IT WORKS GREAT. GO TO A LOCKSMITH AND SPEND THE MONEY FOR A FACTORY CUT KEY NOT A DUPLICATE KEY!!!!! I MIGHT JUST GET ANOTHER VETTE SO I CAN ORDER ANOTHER KEY .

THANKYOU TO CORVETTE KEY FOR SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT.

Be interesting to hear what may be causing the problem. Please keep us updated if you learn more.

Have you tried cleaning the key with alcohol? The resistor can get dirty, and not make good contact.

Me too... I would think the vendor could explain what may cause that issue so the rest of us know... Instead of saying "call tech support".

1. That is the problem 99% of the time. Also, if you have to much weight on the key chain area it will cause the light to come on.

2. Also, try turning the key over (using the oposite side that you do now) and this should eliminate the problem.

There are no ill effects with the light being on and we gurantee that it will not affect anything in or on the car. Some C5's just have weak ignitions and therefore the light turns on. Everything will work fine though.

Well, #1 - I don't think his BRAND NEW key would be so dirty that it already requires cleaning. #2 - He never had the problem (and still doesn't) with his OEM key. Sounds like you shipped a defective key. Why don't you just replace it?

I wanted him to email our support center so that they could pull up his information and ship a new one.

Give Corvette Key a reasonable bit of time to address the issue. Remember, this is a brand-new product from a new vendor. Everyone rushing to buy a key knew this.

Like with any product there can be some problems with some. I have had no problem with mine and would not hesitate to recomend this product. Give the vendor time to work the problem out with customer one on one if there is no satifaction then a broadcast to everyone else may be in order. My .02
