This is where your logic takes a wrong turn. You cannot compare runs done on different tracks, different days, under different ambient conditions. Keep in mind that I am not new to this scene and my understanding of the subject matter is pretty good.
I did already say that I am not under the impression that my car is as fast as a C6 Z06. The V.R. car ran at least two more MPH than me so he obviously has more power to weight than I do.
I had about 40 hours of practice in my C6Z with the engine off and a week on the street practicing very specific techiques before I made my first pass. The old adage...practice, practice, practice. Alway best when the practice preceeds the event.
And my performance in the C6Z is still way short proportionately to mine in the C5Z. But I've only had the car a month.

You can learn a lot from comparing many passes on different track on different days. You learn the characteristics of the acceleration of the car. You can see the shifts. Etc. There is a lot to learn from that. I learned much from studying the passes of other drivers on other tracks on different days.
Are you keeping a spreadsheet with calculated incrementals? If you're not, a new path for improvement awaits.
Win, Lose, or Draw... a match up like the one you drove is always an awesome, super-fun, experience. Even so, winning is always more fun. Congratulations on a great run against a great car.

Hey Ross,
you short shifted 1-2 & 3-4. & hit the limiter?? 2-3....LOL
I want you to log one of my runs Saturday if you show. You were supposed to do it for me before but you didn't go back to the track!

Hey Ron...
I didn't short shift and I didn't hit any limiters. The scan cycle for my OBDII scan tool is not instantaneous so I probably revved higher in first and third and shifted before it got a chance to read the RPM PID. I did not hit the limiter in 2 when I was in gear with the clutch engaged. It is possible that I did kiss it when I pushed the clutch in to shift to third, but I didn’t feel or hear anything that made me think I did. All of my limiters are at their stock values (6600 RPM). I am also running stock timing, stock MAF tables, and the stock A/F ratio.
I don’t think I will be there on Saturday the 18th.
