send me a PM if you are serious, and when you are really ready so i can get your info!
I'm ready... I have mine already out of the car.. PM me and tell me how much it will cost to have you make me one like the one thats in this thread.
I need mine in black, as well as matching texture.
unfortunately i wont be offering these in the "textured" spray. ive played around with the texture spray, and im not impressed at all. ive seen the pics on here, and they look ok... but in person?? i havent been able to duplicate the stock texture, and paint is such a better look in my opinion. i understand many will want the textured look, so i might end up offering a bezel modified, and primed. that way you can do what you like with it as far as a finish.
for those asking.... im using 3M products, and also RAGE
Can you be more specific (as in exact product)? I just don't want to spend a lot of time going down the wrong path and trying a bunch of stuff that doesn't work.
Also - how do you 'mold up' the area for the gauges? I assume you cut a section out of the bezel and then what?
I got to tell you that brian has been great to work with. I jumped on the oppurtunity when he was looking for a test case. I was going to attempt to modify my bezel but time was not on my side. It will definitly help if you already had your components so that you can send any dimensions/trim peices he may need to incorporate into the design. I love the fact that it will be smooth and painted to match body color. May be alittle bit loud in red but will be an attention getter. Hope to send a lot a business brians way when the prodact is complete and installed. Can't wait to get it back and installed. Now I just need to set aside the time to install it.
brian,
are you changing the original position of the climate control unit or is it exactly where it was? It looks like you took out the ash tray area and adjusted the climate control/ a/c unit down a little bit... I've been toying with this same concept for a while... cutting the bezel so it fits just doesn't do it for me either... great job so far man. keep us all posted

yes the HVAC unit has been relocated to a lower position. for each install its going to be different, depending on the size of the unit.
2 things:
1) you WILL lose the ashtray area.
2) this will take some time to install. its not going to be one of those "buy and slip in" products. there is going to be time spent to actually mount and line up the units so they fit in the bezel slots.
well got done with day 2 of this project! also working on other sets, so progress is a little slower than expected!
this is where i left off last night....
and after several sessions of filler, and sanding... ive finally got everything molded the way i want it! ive also mounted the "trim" plate for the screen, you can see it in black. i will be molding that in tom. so it looks like it is actually part of the bezel itself.
