Default What the ...why

Weather is getting nice so I jack my vette up to remove the mags ( polish them inside and out, grease and lubricate underneath, paint the calipers and to my surprise ( have had the vette only since last July) find out that my right rear and left front tires are 18', while my rear left and right front are 17'!!!!!
Has anyone seen this before? Am I missing something? Should I change them back to 17 front and 18 rear? Leave them as is or did the previous owner have his tires rotated without knowing what he did.
Car has always driven GREAT.
Just curious, what do you think?

That sounds incredibly dangerous. It's almost like someone tried to rotate the tires without looking at the sizes first.

Probably part of a dealership's "scheduled" maintenance plan. I wonder what other favors were done for you at the same time? Changed all 4 plugs and the points?

Wow! And you never noticed that the rear wheel (on the one side) looked smaller than the front?!

To answer your question, no, I've never seen this before. This is insane!

You should have seen a DIC warning " service active handling." there is no way that this car would allow that to happen.....and with different rotational diameters, your differential may be fried...

It sounds to me that the dealership or a local mechanic strikes again. You should change them back....soon. Make sure you verify the rotation marks on the sidewall when you do the swap.

Default Thanks guys

tires are going back to normal, which I planned to do. Just thought for a moment I missed something. Really strange, but feel like an a*s cause I never picked up on it. Surprising thing is the car handled great and the computer never picked up on the tires other then the regular psi.

Safe driving -

Did you notice it pulling to the right with that much stagger? That setup is for a Stock Car going in the wrong direction.

Yes, change them to where the 18s are on back and 17s are in the front. Someone didn't know what they were doing.

I think that you answered your own question;
"the previous owner have his tires rotated without knowing what he did"

Sort it out ASAP.
