Default Decisions, decisions, decisions...

I'm ready to replace my aftermarket chambered cat-back since I had the Dynatech LT header system installed. I've heard many systems (all in person and audio files) and narrowed it down to a select few. I'm looking at GHL Bullet's w/ quad tip or Borla Stinger's with quad tips. I'd even go so far as the Z06 Ti system, but that's kind of like a last resort. The GHL's are a little more expensive, but from what I've seen, the finish quality is much better than what Borla has. My biggest concerns are this: With my current setup, I have some burbling and occassional popping. I don't care for that and would prefer a strong musclecar tone without the burbling and/or popping and, of course, little to no resonance drone.

So, this is where the forum can help me. If any fellow C5'ers have a setup like mine, or close to it, I'd love to hear your thoughts. FWIW, I don't race the car; it's a pleasure vehicle (a.k.a., my toy). Also, if there are any supporting forum vendors who read this, PM or email me if you have any specials going on for the systems I'm considering.

Thanks all!

Huck

I am very happy with my GHL Bullets (Quad tips) and is the best inprovment I have done since purchasing my roadster two years ago. I do not get popping, but I have a auto and that may make a difference since you do not say if you have a 6speed trans. If I were to sell my car for a newer one, I would go with GHL Bullets again. It has the perfect muscle car sound I wanted.

I have GHL Bullets with Dynatech headers, X pipe and high flow cats. It took me awhile to get used to the sound, but now I love it Mine pops and burbles during decel (I have an MN6) which is OK with me. And it still has a muscular sound. WOT sounds like a Nascar

I run the GHL Magnum Plus that uses the same 6 inch cans as the Bullets. I run a full H/C setup with Dynatech LT's. I don't have any popping or burbling on deceleration. Might be because of the SD tune. I had the Z06 but missed my loud pedal. I've got it back in spades now.

It's not too loud - just right - and even the wife said she likes the sound over the Z06.

Good info so far. I'm still waiting to hear from the Borla crowd
