Default What exhaust?

I've caught the mod fever!!! So far, I've ordered a handheld supertuner programmer and a vararam intake. The programmer should be here tomorrow and the intake next week. I'll let u guys know hwo they work out.
I was now thinking of an exhaust. I know a guy at the store who can get me a discount but they only carry Borla and Magnaflow. I want an exhaust system with the quad-tip. I'm looking for an exhaust that will sound nice but won't wake up the neighbours. I don't want the drone from the inside either. SO, I'm looking for something that gives it a nice growl but won't irritate me or my neighbors (or the cops). Do you guys know which is a good cat back system made by these companies that meets my requirements?

Also, from what I've gathered, the cat back is more for sound than actual performance. Is it really worthwhile getting the complete system from headers all the way back? Are the stock headers and pipes not good enough or are they too restrictive? Any help would be appreciated. I won't be buying for about a month but I like to gather info. Thanks again.

Everyone here on the forum have been wondering how long it would take you to get infected with the mod bug. We've all be pm'ing each other about you. You've got some catching up to do.

You need to decide what your long term plans are. If you are going to be adding headers you probably want a different exhaust than if you are going to keep the stock manifolds. LT's and high flow cats will really open up the sound of the exhaust.

I started with Corsa Indy's. Nice sound - sort of exotic. It got really loud after the LT's. Switched to Z06 Ti's and did a H/C. Sounded good but too quiet. Recently added GHL Magnum Plus. Sounds great - deep and throaty.

If you're going to stay with stock manifolds, look at the Borla, Corsa and GHL Magnums. If you are going with LT's look at the GHL Bullets, Ti's. None of these have any drone.

I love my Borla XR-1, but it's not for the faint hearted - it's loud.

Default is there a cure

You're right, I don't know what it is. You just keep wondering to yourself "what if I did that" or "what would happen if I added this". As I said earlier, this is the fastest car I've ever driven so I have no reason to be adding all these mods but the "what if" won't leave me alone. hahaha. I'm gonna go broke soon. WILL WORK FOR MODS!!!!!!!!

If you live in California, you might want to forgo the Vararam and headers. Not only are both illegal, but they are also real pains to install/uninstall. As far as exhaust sounds go, take a listen here:

I've got a Corsa Pace Car system with a X-Pipe and it has great sound and no interior resonance!
