Does anyone know the part number for the caliper bolts on the front brakes or what size these are so I came get new ones at Napa. The ones that bolt the caliper to the pad abutment bracket. Thanks.

When I installed my Baer rotors, I replaced all 8 caliper bolts. The part number was 14067559 - that was back in December 2003, but using that number the dealer should be able to find the item if the number has changed.
I just bought some from Eckerts. The GM part number is 14084051 for the Caliper Mounting Bolt 97'-04' (expensive suckers at $7 a piece). These are special bolts to take the stress of the 125ft/lb torque and have loctite on the threads bolts so they dont vibrate loose. Some people re-use these bolts and clean them with a wire brush and apply blue loctite. But some people who have done this have had the bolts snap and almost destroy their cars. I recommend if you are serious about saftey...replace the bolts. I ordered the washers too but will get in a day or two and will post that number. The Caliper Guide Pin Bolt 97'-04' is GM part # 14067559.
Will I need 4 part# 14084051 bolts and 4 part# 14067559 bolts? If I reuse these in the future, what is the difference between the blue and red loctite?

That is correct, and 4 washers also. You may only need 2 of the Brake Caliper guide bolts (559) but I got 2 extra just in case. The blue loctite is removable by mechanical means, the red is only removeable if you heat it up. Use the blue!
The caliper guide bolts (559) are torqued to 23 ft/lbs
The caliper mounting bolts (051) are torqued to 129 ft/lbs (replace these if your life is worth more that $28)
Unless they are damaged it is not necessary to get new ones.... wire brush the threads. use some blue threadlocker and torque to 23 ft lbs
and if you take the old bolt to NAPA they might have the same bolt for $1.50 vs $5 or $6 from Cheby.
and the caliper bracket mounting bolts should be torqued to 125 ft lbs
calipes to braket bolts to 23 ft lbs. or just get them as tight as posible. This is what I do and it would up being 40-50 ft lbs.
Well I just did a complete brake job on my vette. And I have to admit that I think you could reuse all of the bolts as long as you clean the threads and re apply loctite.
My only concern is the new bolts appear to have red loctite on them. But I would be afraid to re-apply red loctite for fear of not being able to get them off again.
The brake setup is pretty cool and designed to make changing the pads very easy.
When I replaced my old calipers with a set I had powdercoated - I ordered new seals and the rebuild kit from Chevrolet. It came with new bolts........
Correct, the seal kit does come with new caliper guide bolts, but if you are replacing the rotors like I did, then you have to remove the caliper mounting bolts. These are the large bolts that attach the mounting fixture to the control arm. This fixture is what holds the bushings that the caliper mounts to.
These large caliper mounting bolts are what I was most concerned with since they require 129 ft/lbs of torque.
