Default Keys

My wife and I are new vette owners. Purchased 31 Jan 06. We had to get another one made because there was only one set when we purchased.

She asked me this evening is it normal that there is ONLY one set. I said I'd ask the forum.

So is this normal to get one set ?

Used car from a dealership?
50/50 chance of getting all the keys.

Comes from the factory with 2 sets, one marked "1" on the back of the attached fob, the other marked "2" on the back, so you know which key goes with which memory setting.

You should have received two fobs and two keys with the car. If you didn't, go back to the dealer and ask for the other one.

I'd send the bill to the Dealer for reimbursement.

That means someone out there has a spare key for your Vette

Go back to dealer and demand a second set if they refuse. If they still refuse, get a hold of the Chevy Regional Used Cars Rep in your area and tell him you want the 2nd set.

wow.. with the other about going back to the dealer. You're lucky if you get a spare key without asking. If not, dmeand one be made before shelling out your hard earned cash next time you buy a used car. If the dealership want's you as a valued customer, one would think they'd make you another key with no problems. Can't hurt to try.

I don't think there is suck a person, but it sounds good. There is no requirement for a used car to come with two sets of keys. That is on new cars only at most places.
