You can get an aftermarket radio with XM built in or a portable unit like the XM Roadie, MYFI, and other models. Check the XM site for details.
Hooking it up to a stock Bose head unit can be problematic, depending on if it has a cassette player, built in single CD, or trunk mounted CD changer. Most of the XM units can use a cassette adapter or have an internal FM transmitter. The best sound comes from using a digital adapter. Mounts can be clipped to a vent, stuck to the dash, or just left laying loose. The XM antenna can be laid on the dash, stuck on the roof, or installed under the body (the Corvette bodies do not block the signal).
There is a bunch of info on the forum about XM radios, including my post about the digital adapter. PM me if you have any questions.
I did the MyFi. Mounted the antenna at the top of the rear window, and hid all wires so that I can place it in the cup holder. Lord only knows it is good for nothing else !
I use it in the AE, my Volvo, GMC Jimmy, Motorhome, and boat.
Yes, I originally put the MYFI in my wife's 01 vert, then put a Roadie in my Pacifica, and then replaced the MYFI with a Garmin 2730 (has XM built in). That one caused the digital adapter adventure... Would like to put the MYFI on the bike but the pipes are too loud.
Oh yeah, we really like XM radio!
