Default Wagon Wheel Inserts

CF member djones14 made a pattern that he then used to paint the spokes on his wagon wheels. He authorized me to post the pattern here for everyone to use if they would like. There were three sizes in the email he sent me, so I would print all three and see which works for which wheel (front vs rear).

Here are his results....

-------- EDIT --------
I have a better (complete and accurate) template in Visio 2003 format.

OR

Because many people have contacted me saying they do not have Visio 2003, I have also saved the templates in .pdf format so all you need is adobe acrobat reader. Email me and I will reply with the template attached in the file. Great if you want to DIY

That certainly throws a different look to the wheels!! Maybe they can do them in the color of the cars for more of a custom look?

If I hadn't sold (practically given away ) my wagons then I would definitely have done this mod. Great idea and great look.

Very Cool way to enhance the Wagons.... I think he may find quite a demand on the forums for them... perhaps he should look into becoming a vendor, so he could sell them on here?

He decided that it would be better to just give the pattern away to anyone that wants it. That is the kind of thing that makes the Forum great

Original post/idea (that I saw) was started by member "tnarg". He posted an update yesterday, which got locked. He was initiating contact on making a finished product.

I did diy mod with mine also; however, I can't figure out how to cut/paste dimensions into the post... so see if this makes sense.

Top = 1" a $.25 quarter for the diameter/arc
Overall height is 4 inches for front, and 4 3/8 for rear
Bottom width is 1 3/4 in.

Cost per car @ $1.00 in vinyl/adhesive....and your time...

If anyone wants a perfect set in Visio format, I have created one. If you have Visio, this will give you the most accurate template. NO, I'm not selling anything. Just EMAIL me and I will reply with the file attached - no charge.

Default Wagon Wheel Decals (NOW AVAILABLE)

The original wagon wheel enhancement decals are now available for purchase.

They are cut from high quality Avery vinyl with superior adhesive. The color is matte black. Matte black promotes the illusion of a double spoke.

I am glad to see these are now for sale. While many people on here like to take the DIY route, precut vinyl is the easy (and reasonably priced) way to go in this case. Also, I am glad to see that you found flat black vinyl, as many members have reported only finding glossy.

David (doje):

I've noticed you have put some effort into the patterns. Not as easy as some might think. To be done properly, several radiuses have to be considered.

I thought about this for some time and decided to offer them for those that have bigger and better mods that need their attention.
