hi guys, i have a 99 frc with varvaram, and i would like to change the exhaust. i love the way the tigershark tips look, and i heard the pace car note and it sounds awsome. has any one ever dynoed before and after this exhaust has been installed. thanks
I had the same question a few months ago so I e-mailed Corsa and they said they tested the pace car and it was 7 - 9 HP and the crossover was good for 1 - 2 HP (if I remember corrrectly) and the torque numbers were like 8 - 11 and 2 - 4 (if I remember correctly).
These HP gain numbers are flywheel - and you will most likely not notice the difference in power at the wheel.
The reason to change your exhaust on a '99 (I have a '99 coupe) is that the stock pipes are ugly and have little character. I have Corsa Pace with the pro tips and they look good and sound GREAT!
Get what you like! It will greatly improve the look of your ride.
Since stock exhaust in not the limiting factor in the flow, an after-market cat-back should be approach as an improvement in sound & looks. If you want to see gains, do LT headers at the same time.
