I just got this **** and wonder if anyone else has this?
It installed easily, but it rotates quite a bit. Looks like the splines inside the **** are too narrow for the grooves. Just wondering if this is a quality control issue and I should return it for another, or if this is how they fit? I can probably shim it but don't want to if I can help it. If you rotate it enough times back and forth eventually the lock pin starts to come out. Thanks!
It shouldn't turn, send it back. It look's like a stainless piece to me, is it? If so, you're going to love it when the car has been sitting in the sun for a few hours.
ive got the same **** on mine and it didnt rotate.i slid it on and tightened the hex heads on it and i was done! im thinking something is wrong with your ****

i just did the hud install as well and i have a automatic and didnt have to take the **** off.
