Well, I was out there again, ripping this off of the car and inspecting parts for possible problems and if you have been following my issue (out lined here: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...258&forum_id=1 ).
Here are a couple of pictures of my air system tubing valve:
Notice the black residue, this is after I lightly rub my finger on it.
This would sort of explain why I can't hear it at an idle, but when I put load on it. I really wish I knew if this was it. And I have to wait until the dealership opens tomorrow, because none of the parts stores have it.
The black residue is from an exhaust leak....is this your noise? I don't know, but it's possible...and it's def. contributing to some noise in the engine bay. Toss on a bunch of RTV and throw it in the car, simple as that.

This is something I was thinking of doing, which color would you go with? I have copper and black, but not sure if the "high" temp stuff is going to work with the exhaust because of the heat level.
