Hi Guys
I have the hurst shifter and evrything and also know how to install it too but only problem is i don`t have the original hurst shifter gasket.I was surfing around on the net but couldn`t find just the gasket. What can I use as an alternative, instead of original gasket.Or anybody knows the website that I can order.Any thoughts will be helpful thnks......
Not sure you even need one except to compensate for irregular mounting surfaces.
I am looking at the Hurst gasket and it just looks like common gasket material (resembling thick paper, not rubber) that is about 1/16 inch thick. You could use the base of the shifter as a template and easily cut your own. The factory gasket was thinner and more like rubber, so I would think that thickness was not critical.

I've been the Hurst route and encountered a torn gasket. I just used a tube of silicon gasket repair to hold it together. When I got tired of the hard shifting and put the stock unit back in, the "stuck" gasket was still in place and fine, so I reused it.

i used silicone gasket when i installed mine as well.
Pardon my French But where can i get that silicone gasket?
I think they are referring to silicon "form-a-gasket" that comes in a tube, and you can get at any parts store. The gasket is not really sealing anything, so unless you cut a gasket out of gasket material just to absorb any surface irregularities, I would not think you would even need a gasket.
