Default FAST 90/90 setup question

I’m thinking of going to the Fast 90/90 setup in my FRC and my question is will my Carbon fiber high flow air intake air bridge with smooth coupler fit the 90mm throttle body , and if not what are you guys running to make it work. And while I have your guys attention how much RWHP would this net me, I know everyone say not to do it until you get cam and heads, but I plan on going down that road in the future, and I’d like to do all the bolt ons before I crake into the engine, my mods are twin K&N intake, Lgpro longtube headers without cats, corsa catback. How much HP should I expect with these mods and the fast 90/90?

Personally, I would wait to put the fast90 on until after you do heads and cam. I have heads/cam stock block with all the bolt ons and the fast 90/ls2 setup. If you want to do an intake now i would stick with the ls6 and ported t/b and then upgrade later after your h/c combo. HTH

I was reading a thread about the C6 guys just putting on the Fast intake with stock throttle body and they made 20 RWHP with stock heads and cam, I know it’s a bit different, but not that different, so it can’t hurt to put it on. And at this point it’s the only both on left pretty much.

You may actually loose HP. It takes a good size cam and heads to make the FAST effective. The LS2's already have a 90mm TB and more cubic inches that can take advantage of the increased flow.

Read this thread. FAST90/90 I think you'll be very happy with a FAST90/90. You WILL need to have it tuned, also try and get a Nick Williams TB for it, it's the best one as far as performance and tunability, but he's not making them anymore for the Corvette. You could also go with an LS2 TB, but you will need to purchase an adapter to mate the electrical connectors.

I think Tony is VERY knowledgable in this area and I would, and have been in the past, be guided by his thoughts. If you want a Nick Williams TB ( best IMO ) you better jump on it NOW because NIck has stopped production of 90mm C5 TB's.

Save up for heads and cam then do the FAST intake - you might not make any power at all with just LG's.

Do the FAST 90MM set up last you need heads and a cam to get some real HP out of it. You will be lucky to see 10-15 HP out of this for almost the same money you can get a nice cam and underdrive pully and make an extra 25-30 at the wheels more depending on how much cam you can live with.

I have a 232 236 cam in the coupe with the regular bolt on stuff and made 380 RWHP I am getting ready to install Cartek 3X heads and a 90/90 set up as well by the end of April will post new numbers then.

Your coupler should fit. It's tight because the standard coupler is designed for 85mm, but you can stretch it. The NW throttle body needs no porting, as for the manifold port, PM Tony Mamo, he did mine, and a great job too.

I am doing AFR Heads/cam in the next few weeks, I have an 01 coupe, so I am going to leave the stock LS6 intake for now.. and see what I get..if numbers are not good enough, then I will look at FastIntake.

good luck

is the nick williams throttle body already ported, and how much does porting the intake manifold cost? And do I have to by any other components to hook you the entire system?
