This is my first post. To make a long story short, I bought a stunning 2001 Corvette from Georgia and had it shipped to where I currently live in Saudi Arabia! Riyadh to be more specific.
What I want to know, is how can you be sure that the box which has Delco on it, actually is Delco? I get my oil changed at a local shop and they have Delco products there. Dunno if I'm being paranoid/suspicious/cautious, but I just want to be safe. Any chance that it could be fake/pirated products?

I guess there is always that possibility, but if you use a reputable store/shop for your parts/services, then that would seem to lessen your chances of getting something different than you paid for. Haven't heard of too many fake Delco products out there.

I remember reading about fakes at some point years ago in the US. I would call GM and ask them for one of their trusted outlets and order directly from them. Here is a quick search I did on the seemingly on going issue. http://www.autoemirates.com/SpecialR...Cdelco-Spl.asp Be careful out there.
You have big B*lls to drive a corvette in Saudi!
I lived there for 4 years and think you may want to blend in, at least tell us your not driving a RED vette! If your watching those guys work on your car its a good idea, they usually suck as tech"s.
I was in Dhahran and Taif,Jeddah...drove around with lots of caution they suck as driver's.No courtesy given, but what else is new.Good Luck and be Safe!
