Default Other Corvette forums....

How many of you are members of forums other than CorvetteForum?

I just logged into Corvette Action Center, and was browsing the C5 Tech section, when I found a post addressing the dim HVAC display syndrome. None of the respondents seemed to have a clue as to how common this problem was, and most were advising the poster to replace the unit as opposed to fixing it.

Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of good folks on that forum, and I have the utmost of respect for all of them, but it seems like they're a bit behind the times compared to what I've found here at Corvette Forum.

Maybe CF is just more "cutting edge", huh?

Kinda weird, isn't it?

Although I'm a bit of a noob, I'd still think that most of us all travel in the same circles, and you'd think that all the common knowlege would be more....."common"?

Hopefully you referred them here so they could get a good fix instead of having to replace it altogether.

I belong to Corvette Action Center and the C5 Forum (not to be confused with the Corvette Forum C5 General). I browse those others occasionally, but this is the place that I choose to spend my time.

The CAC has a great database of information, all the model year information, and the recall information from GM. I use it as a reference, but I don't think I've ever posted over there.

And just where else could you find priceless stuff like the "Kittah" threads from WOEII, and avatars such as that of devnull's?

I gave him the quick and dirty rundown on how I fixed mine last week.
The post was fairly old, so maybe he's already taken care of it.

I have logged into several others before, but there just was not the amount of activity as on here. Kind of boring actually, but some of them did have some good information to share. I usually just hang out here.

I am a member of other forums but always seem to find my way here first and then never seem to get to the others. Besides where else do you get the fun of EG and the cuts of ET?
