Fuel rails question?
I’m planning on changing the intake manifold and TB and was wondering if you guys are changing your fuel rail to an aftermarket system and what are the benefits? And is it wise to change it if your not messing with the injectors?

After changing heads, cam, intake manifold and throttle body I bought a FAST fuel rail set last year so that a pressure gage could be added but sent it back because the drivers side rail hit the firewall. The firewall would have needed to be worked on to gain clearance, a fuel pressure regulator had to be added since it's a '98, new fittings were needed to mate to the stock fuel lines and a crossover line was needed to connect the two fuel rails. There have been photos of this type of installation on this site so it is possible but not cheap or easy. I cleaned up the stock fuel rail assembly which is stainless steel, had a 1/8" NPT fitting for the pressure sender silver soldered on for $30 and had the entire rail assembly chromed for $50.
