I used a metallic silver paint pen and carefully painted inside the airbag letters. They came out great, and no worries about letters not sticking, or sticking in your forehead, whatever the case may be...
I cleaned the surface with 90% Ispropyl Alcohol, let dry, then carefully painted the bottom surface of the letters. Any paint on the side surfaces was immediately cleaned off with a cotton swab moistened in alcohol.
I have the vinyl inserts on my airbag and i don't think they look cheap maybe it's the way you put them on.Alot of people on the forum have them and i have never heard anyone say they look like that.
For me it is not a case of the way the are attached...you can't do much wrong there...they fit into the indentions about perfectly. It is that they look like stickers when they are applied. I think inserts, which have some depth will look much better than the stickers. I will take some pictures of the Vinyl stickers and then pics of the new inserts attached, once I get them, that way everyone can see the difference. I have not seen the inserts yet, so I am not passing judgement on either at this point. The stickers still look better than nothing...I think.

Give it a try!
I already ordered the inserts or I would try that. Do you have any close up pics of how yours turned out?
I agree with LarryW. Alex at Cyberdine Graphics steering wheel emblem is great and looks super. Mine is burshed aluminum in color and it stuck great. The airbag emblem is another story. It looks great but will not stick at all. I cleaned and prepped the dash with soap and alcohol and it just curls up. I am not going to super glue anything to my dash.
I too had the same problem, so now I just have the steering wheel emblem from Cyberdine Graphics, but it looks great. I give up on the airbag letters.
I have been trying to ask that guy on Ebay if they are a torch red match - and he never responds. Anyone get them, and can confirm it is a torch red match?
The guy on E-bay and Cyberdine are the same person... Alex can be reached at 818-919-0406. He was very responsive to me when I had dealt with him. He even sent me color samples for my Lt. Oak.

I think I will try Decal Specialties since it got a good review from LarryW
Here's a comparison of the two in my Vette (sucker needs a good detailing, sorry for the dust ):
You notice with the Cyberdine decals, the TT is already peeling away. This was the next day after application. Shortly after that, the E's starting to peel followed by the V... Now if Alex could resolve the adhesive issue, then hands down, his are the best looking especially with the domed appearance; they do a GREAT job of filling in the embossed letters on the airbag. But they're useless if they don't stay put (but you could always use super glue ).

No issues with the Decal Specialties decals
Those decals look a lot better than the ones I bought. Mine were shiny and looked a lot more like stickers. Well, hopefully the Cyberdine inserts stick...not going to be happy if they don't, especially given the price. I'll let ya'll know.
I installed the LT Oak airbag and steering wheel decals from Cyberdine about a year ago. I initially had problems with the airbag letters not sticking, even with what I thought was a correct prep. Anyway, someone suggested I use wallpaper seam glue and, believe it or not, it worked great. I used "stick-ease wallcovering seam repair" (comes in small tube) from ACE Hardware. As yet. I've had no sign of peeling and I didn't have to "superglue" it. By the way, Cyberdine's Lt Oak matches just fine in my 04.

Did you apply the glue to the car or to the back of the inserts or both?
these look 10 times better and very
get the passenger airbag kit as well , it is raised material enough to make the lettering flush with the dash .
By no means cheap vinyl , went that route myself and tore it out real quick .
side note , the steering wheel emblem Cyberdine sells , sticks nicely to the wheel , and looks awesome , however , the air bag kit , looks great but I had to carefully lay a small bead of superglue to make the letters hold . but no problem after that .
you can look at my signature picture , you may be able to see both .
I bought my 3D raised, polyurethane, laser cut lettering kit (not the acrylic decal lettering kit) from Ecklers over four years ago. And, they still hold, and, look sharp. Nice little interior mod.
Just wanted to give the big to the Cyberdine Graphics logo package. Expensive at $84 for the Steering Wheel, Dash and sill plates, but oh so worth it. Looks much better than the stickers that I had bought previously ever could. I will try and get some pictures tomorrow, but I highly reccomend these. Terrific quality.
Now if only they will stick to the dash. We'll see.
