Bilstein

I was looking to order the Bilsteins for my 02 z06, which ones are going to be optimal for a car that gets tracked and sees the street. I really don’t care how harsh the ride is. I will be lowering the car on aftermarket bolts as well. Also what’s the best price anyone has received on a full set. The best I have been able to get is 299.00 + shipping.

When I was shopping for new shocks it came down the the '04 spec stock ones or the Bilstiens. I got the Bilstien sports shocks... I asked some people on here and the sports are supposed to be the "higher" performance unit.

I purchased mine from www.corvettegarage.com for $29X shipped on sale.

Brian,
thanks for the reply. I checked corvettegarage and they have went up to 349. I emailed nate to see if they would match prices to some of the other vendors. Hopefully i will hear something soon.

If your car is lowered, then you want the Sports model.

I got a better deal off ebay(end of last year), but that was with a discount coupon thingy, a savings of $30 is not that big of a deal, when you consider that a set @ $300 is way cheap for set of good shocks. The ones for my ex BMW were about $700 .

Van Steel, a forum vendor, lists Sports for $299 but gives a 10% forum discount. Small amount for shipping but you still save and support a vendor.

Guys thanks for the help, just made the order this afternoon. Wish I had checked back on the forums sooner. Ended up getting them from www.madvet.com for 321.00 shipped. Not to bad. I heard from another forum vendor that the prices of the shocks have gone up from Bilstein since the 299.99 price that they previously offered. So if anyone is looking to get a set, now is the time. Once again thanks for all the help.

I was a little surprised myself, I honestly thought they would have one of the highest markups. Goes to show you something, what it shows you I dont really know.
