pretty nice day today in south central pa. every vette driver we saw today waved. were cruising north on rt 81 & saw a yellow c5 coming up in my mirror in the passing lane. driver was taking it easy with a lot of jerks trying to go round him. he passed me & waved & pulled in front of me. coincidentally we got off @ the same exit (the exit one would take to go to the carlisle show!) & again headed in the same direction, so our parade of 2 c5s was moving along. looked in my mirror on the 2 lane road & another c5 (dark metallic green) was also in line with us, right behind our silver c5. he waved as well. so the three c5 coupes drove in formation for about 5 miles & came to an intersection where we split up. it was one of the coolest, quick rides because the group of us respected the machines & each other. man, it gets no better than that. c5 all the way! bub

it's a great day here in texas , we were planning to go air out the car today, man it is clean sitting in the garage just waiting and ....... i get a 4 o'clock wake up call that i have to go in to work today. on call stand by overtime su(ks. my day is shot don't get off til 5 pm.
can anybody read my mind???
Sounds like a great Vette day. Nice that the timing was right for three C5s to get together.
I think I'd dump a load if I ever had occasion to encounter two additional vettes going the same direction at the same time out here in Iowa.
I think all the vettes out here are "garage queens" and "weekend warriors", who only take them out and expose them to the sun and sky, on special events, scheduled gatherings, and casual get-togethers at the local burger joint.
To actually see one out on the open highway is like meeting a movie star in MacDonalds......well, maybe not that bad, but you get the idea.
Great story though. Just made MY day, that's for sure, you lucky fellow.
FINALLY GOT TO DRIVE MY VETTE TO WORK FOR THE FIRST TIME TONIGHT ON 3RD SHIFT. ROAD WAS VERY SPARSLY POPULATED SO SOME WAHOO IN AN EXPEDITION COMES BLASTING OUT OF THE TOLL GATE NEXT TO ME AND THINKS I AM GOING TO LET HIM BE FIRST INTO THE TRAVEL LANE. HA! BOY AM I GLAD I FINALLY BOUGHT A CORVETTE!
I know what you mean. One day I was in my Vette and my buddy in his, then we met two other Vettes from another town. This was a 10 minutes ride, then we stopped on a parking lot and started to talk for almost two hours. I was so happy, because it is very rare to see another C5 where I live
