Default Cheap Oil?

Been noticing Mobil 1 synthetic 5W30 oil prices are a bit more expensive than last year. Pep Boys had it at at 5.60/qt last week, AutoZOne pretty much the same thing.

Costco here in Indianapolis had a six qrt box at 27.99. That works out to be 4.665/qt. Jumped on it. Bought 2 'six packs'.

Anything cheaper out there for the same product?

Matt

Default 5w-30 Mobil One

I purchased a 5 quart jug of Mobil one at Wal-Mart (5W-30) for $20.87.
That seemed like a very reasonable price.

Hey that is a good price, but what "city" did you buy this at? I'll see tomorow if they have this same deal at the local WalMart. If they do I''ll be returning what I bought today, or maybe, CostCo can match the unit price.

Anyone else? Chime in help us save another penny or two

So you are going to burn $5 in gas plus your time, to save $4, good thinking.

Hey it's an excuse to drive the vette, besides the Walmart and Costco's are pretty close to where I live. There are two 2lb bags of stale pistachios that need exchange as well. Give me a break sir genius. Thumping your head right back but with 2 hammers.

However, thanks for your input anyway.

If you're looking to save money, then simply don't change the oil so often! People often complain about the high price of synthetics, but then they waste perfectly good oil by changing it with only 3k on it. You can easily go triple that distance.

Pretty much the same at WalMart in Swansea MA. The new extended mileage formula is a few bucks more, probably closer to $25 per jug.

I too have found Wal-Mart has the cheapest price on the Mobil 1, at least around here. Same $20.87 price.

$18.97 for 5 qt jug at Wal-Mart in Edmond, Ok. I just bought last weekend getting ready for oil change. I have seen it at a higher price at the same wal-mart.
