I made a run to Lowe's today,There in the parking lot is a Lotus Elise, parked taking up two places diagonal. All i thought about was if i did this somebody would think what an *** and key my paint. But then how cool would it be to call four buds up and have them box him in,anybody else see this!!!

Lotus? That's British. My guess: he was trying to park it properly and it broke. Probably electrical failure. (Anyone who ever owned an MG, Triumph, or pre-Ford Jag will know well about Lucas--the King Of Darkness). Give the guy a break and offer him a ride to the nearest tow truck.
At the gym I go to there's often a guy with an admittedly nice F150 extended cab. He parks in a way that takes up FOUR spots. If you ask me it's just dumb... why not cosy up to an end space/curb at the far end of the lot and not make yourself look like a dufus?

If he does not have electrical problems then it is probably leaking oil!
A quick way to invite a key down the side or a footprint in the door.
people just ask for it doing that....unfortunatly i think i mostly see other corvettes do this......c'mon no offense but it ain't a bugatti veyron or a saleen S7

3 spots maybe.... but not for 2
In the whole big scheme of things though, life's too short to let this kind of stuff be bothersome. In some ways I kinda know how it feels to have worked hard, get a really nice car, and try to keep some dufus from letting their kids bang my car when they jump out of the back seat of their SUV..
I just park as far away from everybody else as possible. Oh, and only take up one spot.

Dumb tactics but that is a fun sports car
Anyone who's ever run one around a track would agree
I'm not rising to the bait on the Brit jokes this time
My garage floor is not a great advert for The General. Diff fluid marks from the Vert and Tranny drips from the Camaro
If the car is way out in an empty parking lot taking up two spaces then that shouldn't even be worth mentioning. If the car is up front in a crowded parking lot then that is another story.
I park my car way way out and if the parking lot is empty then maybe I will angle it in a creaturesque stance and take up two spots. It is always way back in the corner. It looks cool and gives me a small piece of mind that some jackhole isn't going to catapult his door into the side of my ride.
If someone is going to key my car for doing that then they were going to key it anyway

LOL!!! 'Cept Lucas was dubbed the "PRINCE of Darkness" (you give him too much credit calling him a king). How do I know? My father still has a Triumph TR3A, 4A, 6, and 8 (not to mention a couple Spitfire "project" cars). I drove the TR8 through highschool -- and if it wasn't leaking oil, it was burning it as it pushed through the head gaskets! LOL It sure was a lot of fun, though.

It doesn't matter how full the lot is. Anytime I see a car taking up more then one spot, I instantly think, what an a**hole.
With that said, I do however, agree that it looks cools, I just don't like giving the impression that I think me or my car is better then anyone else, just because I drive a Vette. That's just my opinion.
Don't worry Cowboy, if I see you parked like that I won't key you. I'll just take a picture and start a thread about you.
