Auto Insurance Question

i'm 20.
I was told by Grundy that my c5 is not old enought to quilify unliss it was part of a collection with older cars being covered under a multi-car policy.
I also checked with Hagerty on line and again I did not quilify with them having a late model and not being part of a older collection.

I went with Leland West. Hagerty ins. would not insure my car when I visted their website. However, when I called them (800-922-4050) I was given a quote of $832 with 1000 deductible and no restrictions on milage including flat bed towtruck if a break-down accures. Forget calling Grundy if you only want to insure a c5.
Leland West is less than $500 for the year and set the agreed value at 33,500. This year I am giving them a try.
Pricewise, I guess it all depends on what state you live in. We in Michigan get ripped-off every year with higher fees than other states.
By the way, MIchigan forces every car owner to fork over a fee called a catastrophic clams association surcharge
. This year the fee per car is $141.00. That means every Michigan residents must pay this surcharge everytime you renew your car ins. If your ins. company only has six months policies, than we must pay the surcharge twice a year.
(This catastrophic surcharge is for people who have more than $300,000 in claims against another driver when involved in a bad collision and applies to the state for the rest).
