Looking to get new insurance for my vette. Has anyone gone with Leland West, and are you happy with them? Any other vette insurance companies I should check out? I have a good record, no tickets or accidents and put on less than 3000 miles per year.
I had good luck with LelandWest on my old '81. On my C5 I am using Hartford. Never had a claim with L/W and when I canceled, they returned the unused portion of my premium. With low yearly mileage, you will get a break. Check around.
My 97 with Allstate was $1198.00 a year. I set the amount of coverage and could drive it 7,000 miles a year. I just went with Grundy and it's $360.00 a year and had it covered for $3,000 more with unlitmited miles. Plus Allstate wound not give me full coverage on my 82 said it was to old for full coverage Bull Sh*t now with Grundy It's $146.00 a year for full Coverage. Allstate is a joke in Ky.
Grundy covers your car for pleasure drivng, not grocery getting. I have had it for three years. They allow you to drive the car for trips, cruises, shows, anything but daily driving(work, school, shopping, etc.) The thing I like is you pick the value of car. If it is totaled that's what you get. I pay less than $700 per year for $41,000-zero deductible comp and coll., with $500,000 PL & PD. There is no limit on milage driven.
Allstate SUCKS......I am having to sue them to get paid for damage one of their insured did to my Vette. They DON"T pay claims until you take them to court and then they make all kinds of delays to age the claim. First they do thier own 'estimate' usually about half the real cost of repairs, then they offer half of that. Nasty outfit to deal with. My Lawyer says that Allstate is the worst of all the major insurance companies to deal with. The former president of our Corvette club is an Allstate sales agent, poor fellow, because I have been giving reports to the club every month on how Allstate has continued to screw me over and over just trying to get paid for the 3 grand of repairs.

Leland West is quoting me around 460 for the year with a maxium 2500 miles and are only agreeing on a value of 30,000. I know my 2001 conv. is listed around 35 t0 37 k. somthing is not right with this quote.
Monday I plan on calling Grundy for a quote. Leland West wants me to provide color photos of my car and garage along with the application which will take time as I do not have a digital camera.
My everyday car Ins. is The Hartford, and even with multi car discount they want me to pay 1500 for the full year. I do not use my car for everyday driving, just for pleasure and club events. Therefore, I am looking for pleasure driving ins.
I will check out the other ins. companies the other forum members have suggested. Stay tuned for the results.
can some one post some phone #'s to grundy im payin 2500 w/geico but im in ny and my old vette did take out a honda a brick wall (yes brick) a curb and 2 guard rails before stopping
I have had AMICA car insurance for 46 years. They are not the cheapest, BUT they are the best. Many claims over the years never a problem. Fast courteous service, always available to help.
They have maintained this level of service all these years. GO WITH THEM.
