Default please help with tyres...confused

Hi there I need new rear tyres and I have had a look at an online tyre size calculator but was not sure how much to trust it. I have ccw 19 x 11 inches to cove and want to know the min and max width tyres I can run?

I currently have 305 / 30 /19 on the car

The tyre calculator say that a 285-335 will fit !!!! (http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html)

Could this be true? Can I get 295 on there without a problem?

I have an auto and really only use the car sensibly, no racing around.

My last tyres Pirelli p Nero’s just didn’t last (typical British roads)

You'll need more than 11" for a 335mm tire. You can actually go as wide as 315, though I don't know if you'll have any luck finding tires tall enough (OD) on 19" rims. 295 should be fine, though your current 305/30 is closer to stock height.

I think you can trust these calculators:

You got to give a guy a break, give him time to speak American. It has been a little over 200 years and they are still learning. "God Save the Queen."

YES - a 285/35 will fit, though 11" is the widest recommended wheel width for that size.

The 1010tires link I supplied earlier provides this type of info - try it!

285 on an 11" rim will look pretty bad imho...there will be no bulge on the side of the rim to protect the rim, not to mention traction will suffer emensely. 285 on a 9.5" rim is about right...but you're stretching that same tire a few extra inches?!?!
