You can use just about any octane you want. The knock sensor will tell the computer to back out timing or to add timing. I've seen my computer start at 18* under wot and advance to 24* when I had 100 Sunoco in the tank and also when I started spraying methyl. I've also seen it drop to 13*, which is 2 drops of 5* each, while using 91 octane wot. My computer has saved my a.... a couple of times now.
