Some people have no class. My Z now has a new inlet for air from a gouge the size of Rhode Island.

I'm in a seasonal parking lot for summer condos, I am the only car at 7:oo am and the only car at 10:00 pm. What do I see, skid marks on the nose, driver fender and on the hood, oh and a very pushed in marker lights. Very sad. How low can you get!

Some people need severe beatings! You try to take care of your stuff and some bozo comes along with no respect for anything... It would be great to get 10 minutes alone with people like that!
VetteZ16- sorry about this unfortunate incident, I hope you and your Z16 will be ok. I fear for my Z16 everytime I leave it alone because of people like that!

Jamie, I offer to set up a sting in that lot. we can use my car as bait, and just wait till they caome back. I haven't hit a human with a baseball bat in a few years so it will be like old times.Couple of years ago, someone backed into my driveway and stole one of my generators, but they also hit my stingray in the rear, I know how it feels. I'm probaly coming over later to look at it.

Some people just can't stand other people having anything worth having. Any chance it was an accident and not vandalism?

Sorry for your being the victum.

I would be checking every car in the area for paint scrapes, but that is just me.

I think this is becoming standard proceedure.
Not 6 months ago, my wifes M Roadster has the driverside front hit... bad. No way the idiot didn't know what they had done, but sure did leave without saying a word. This was in a semi-private work parking lot so I am sure it was a fellow employee that did not have the guts to live up to what they did. Which makes it even worse if you ask me.
Local police said sorry but nothing they could do but write the report (kind of what I figured).
So I know how mad you are. I actual think it's worse knowing that they left the cars damaged.. I feel like they are laughing knowing they "got away" with it.... Hopefully the karma god will get even for us.
Sorry for your pain... I am feelin it!

The same thing happened to me two weeks ago at church! The driver hit my car, got out and looked at it, then got back in her minivan and hauled ***. My friend saw it all because she was still in her car and told me what happened. After a few phone calls to the driver's husband their insurance took care of it. Lucky for me I wasn't in my Z! Sorry to hear about this. Good luck finding this f****r and getting your car back to normal!

You wanna catch the bas^*ds?

Get a camera/video car alarm!! These alarms cost between 500 to 1300. You own a Z you can afford the the best can't you!!! And the satisfaction of catching the hit and run bast*^d is worth a million.

This kind of crap pisses me off. People don't care. They will park right next to you and open their car doors wide open and into your car without any guilt. or in your case hit ya and drive away knowing there is no way they can be caught.

Imagine if you had this car alarm! After you sensors were tripped the alarm would of recorded video in a 360 degrees around your vehicle after it was hit. You would of recorded his plates and vehicle type. A simple police report and this recording as evidence and the person who hit you would be fried in court.

You can also get "The reporter" from Amazon.com. It is a wireless motion sensor that can let you know it someone messes with your car from 1200 feet away. You do have to move fast to get outside to catch him but if you have a window view it can help.

Default Hit and run!

Someone did the same thing to my white vette and left orange paint on the car...I spent a long time in that parking lot stalking a car/truck with that color paint....report the incident, check with the front desk, they usually take down the car descriptions of renters...ask neighbors...just get that A-hole!

Well, I hate to say it but those people with the fish on their car are the most inconsiderate drivers out there. They must think all corvette drivers are heathen!

When my C4 had a brand new paint job (insurance from overspray paint at work!), I once found cigraette butts on the hood along with a big mark where it burned in. Later someone else hit the mirror. I was always careful to park far, far away--that was apartment living.

Now on Christmas Eve 2005 an SUV hits my vette and totals it. Idiot making a left turn and pulls out with zero clearance, then hits me 45 deg broadside/front. This 2 days after picking car up after new 355 put in. Yes it's all true. And then the ins. will not even admit liability for months, I must have been going too fast they say (babying my new 355 to break it in).

So it could be worse!! There is no respect for nice property.

Fix it and garage it. And don't drive it on Christmas Eve afternoon. Drive it EARLY in the morning, before the IDIOTS get out.

Man, that's a nice alarm system to have installed on your toy. Great idea. I was checking that website, and I like the set-up. Lipstick-size cameras.
