Again...you may see improvement from the cookie cutter tune, but you will most likely see better results from a custom tune. The tuner can make adjustments for the gasoline in your area, altitude, etc.
Good luck!

I have a Hypertech unit and it feels like another 10-15 hp after install. And, when the dealer had a recall, afterward I reprogrammed it for nothing. With a custom tune, all that money is gone, you have to pay for another tune.
Plus, I paid $325 for mine and it took 15 minutes in the garage. Whereas a custom job is around $500 and by the time you drive there, have it done, and drive back, will take at least a few hours.
Plus, you see them used on this forum for about $100-$150.
Plus, when you're finished with it, you can resell it on this forum.
Just a few things to consider. Good luck.

well said.
I agree a custom tune will produce better results, but I loved the ability to take it off for dealer work and slap it back on.
When I bought my 04 I contacted them again and since much of the computer internals changed in 04 they used my car to develop the new model required for an 04. This weekend I will finally get around to getting my new Superchips unit and trading them back my old one.
For the price I think they're great, and a few extra HP plus no more CAGS is always nice. I use only 93 octane so no worries about the relatively modest tweaks. I figure it's a safe and effective 10-15HP and easy to remove if ever I feel the need.
I do carry it in the car so that if I had a problem while on the road I can reset to factory before the rollback arrives.
When I had my accident in 04 I didn't yet have it programmed, but I would've had a problem seeing as how the friendly firefighter cut my battery cable to shut the horn off. Me hopping around on a broken foot with the car in a ditch would've made deprogramming a bit dicey even with a battery, but that's one of those situations you just can't plan for.

In fact, when I had the car professionally dyno tuned using HP Tuners software on a Dynojet dyno- the tuner got basically zilch over the Superchips baseline!
