Bird strike @ 80 MPH
Just wanted to share my "moment" with the CF.
I took the Vette out to a secluded road to make a high speed pass.
Took 'er up to a moderate speed and started coasting back down.
When out of no where, this large black object comes flying, literally, out of the woods. It arcs up then back down, and hits me on the windshield.
The sound it made on impact was so load, I thought maybe some kid had launched a rock at me. I was already trying to think of how to explain all the damage on the Vette to the insurance guy.
I pull over to access the damage and was very surprised to find only smear marks on the windshield and the black plastic windshield surround and a small amount of feathers.
as for the bird

Man what product are you using on your windshield to make a mirror finish. Cause you know that bird saw a reflection of itself and went for it.

Payback for all those times a bird has crapped on your car. Glad to hear there was no damage though.
