Default Brake pad advice

Hey Guys I just bought a set of D/S rotors for the Z and was curious as to what pads to run? I am not planning on tracking the car, just want a set that is as dust free as possible and good quality. I tried the search but it said there was some sort of problem. Thanks for any advice.

You can't really go wrong with the D/S ceramic pads - no noise, virtually NO dust.

Great. About posting part number, what you paid, and where you got them from?

Paid $118 Shipped:

Part# 88909667 (Front)
Part# 88909668 (Rear)

Supposedly you lose some braking performance, but I don't autocross so I haven't noticed much difference.

the ceramics have had mixed reviews from what ive been reading. Some like it and others hate it and made no difference in dust. $118 for a set of pads isnt bad enough to try. Besides if you dont like em, you can sell em here.

Click on the link, and then copy and paste the part number on the Search field that says "enter part number" on the upper left corner
I entered the part number for the fronts, ( 88909667 ) and it came out to $57.84 not including shipping.
You may also try Fred Beans and ask him the price for these ceramic brakes. I understand he has some great prices on GM parts.

How about stock OEM ZO6 Pads.

Where can we find those the cheapest?

Thanks Z06-Goose! I just ordered a set for street use. My Hawk HP+'s make too much of a mess and are too expensive not to save for the track. Hope to see you on the raod - I'm in Arvada.

If somebody here can provide you with the part number for the OEM pads, you can plug them in in the GMParstDirect link above and see what comes up.
Also, Tirerack has a good selection on pads, and rotors, I found out last night while searching for pads on my Z06...

Oh cool man. I'm in Boulder. I'll be at Bandimere on opening day a week from this Saturday.
Also, if you want to, check the Mountain Prairie Forum on this board. Scroll down and you'll see it. I posted a couple of links for upcoming events for this Summer

No Problem. I enjoy not having to clean the disgusting wheels as much as I used to with the stockers.
