Cleaning Vert Top

Raggtop is without a doubt the best there is. Both the cleaner and sealer are outstanding. Bought my vert last year and the top needed some work. It is looking almost new now. 
I actually take an old sheet, open the top up part way (front & back both up in the air), then spread the sheet over the windshield and trunk area. I then drop the top back down closed. Now I can spray the Raggtop products to my little ol' heart's content. I will be doing the 1st cleaning (2 apps) and sealing this weekend. Looking forward to the therapy after travelling all week on business.

I am a Meguiar's user. I just ordered these products and recieved them just yesterday. I haven't tried them out yet, but I am sure they will do a fine job. I will give them a try on my 01 Vert soon.

top cleaning
I just ordered the ragg topp cleaner and protectant. Works awesome and looks great also. Be sure to read the instructions and DONT apply the protectant until top is completely dry. Hope this helps....

One guy in our club washes his with soap and water then shop vac's it. He does this once or twice to make sure all the dirt is out of the top. He said the first time he did it the c#$p that came out was amazing. Then he used Raggtop to waterproof it. His is the best looking top in the club. Water beads on it just like it does on the paint job.

Hmm... jsut cleaned mine with Bon Ami and a brush and all the mildew looking stuff and black lines came right out (plus the stuff works great on the windows and mirrors)

autogeek and other supporting vendors under the detailing section carry it.
In a pinch Aerospace 303 products which are widely available... (most autoparts stores) also works well
TIP let the top dry for at least 48 if not 72 hours before you put on the waterproofing.... You want to make sure it is bone dry or the sealed in moisture will lead to mold and mildew.
For cleaning, I usually just vaccum with the shopvac, trying to wash it with the ragtopp or aerospace cleaner only when it needs it. ususally that means the odd spot clean (damn birds) and a once a year washing.
I try to avoid washing the top when I wash the car.
