If you have twin turbos, then I would say 50. The higher the power at the engine, the more you will gain. I gained almost 13 RWHP with both an intake and the Borla cat-backs.

not to hijack your thread, but those of you who have Stingers, did you consider B&B Bullets at all? I'm trying to debate between the two and can't decide.

a cat back exhaust does almost nothing for performance, the real bottle neck is the headers/midpipe.

I gained 14rwhp with no tuning, in my 99 auto, with the addition of the Stingers, Pulley, and Xpipe

So, if you have an auto, I'd say 3-5rwhp w/o a tune.

I guess being in Alaska makes it a bit difficult to listen in person. I've heard almost all cat-backs at a couple of dyno day events and I still say the Stingers sound best. I have to admit that one or two others are close, the B&Bs being one of them.

Hey I appreciate that info. What I'm trying to do (and just have the online sound clips to judge) is to see the "tuned" difference between Stingers & Bullets if that makes sense. Anyone can have a loud V8 car, the difference is (for me anyway) having a loud & in tune car, not just some junkyard loud pile that makes you cover your ears because it sounds like crap. Being that this is for a VY Vert that will catch eyes anyway I want it to sound good, not just exceedingly loud and brashy.

I'm willing to bet that during the last two years, Borla has sold more Stingers than any other manufacturer has sold of its best model. A couple of local guys bought Stingers after hearing mine. Some cabin humming is present at certain low speed, high load conditions, but I think this is a very minor tradeoff.

Soiund and appearance are the primary reasons to go with a catback alone.
