Find the local DMV truck scale. They can weigh both (for a fee, of course) and then you will know for sure.
here in oregon we just drive over the scale when the sign says closed.
the scale always stays on. mine said 3612 with me and the wife and a couple things from home depot in it i have never paid to run over one of these scales. maybe some states are different about it. i have one of these in between my home and anywhere i need to go from home. seems to me mine was just a hair under 3300 without anybody in it. must be the gas in the tank that cuased mine to wiegh more

I believe manufacturer curb weights include oil, fuel, etc., but only standard equipment. Various options, therefore, will typically affect the actual weight measured.
