I can't believe it. I sold my ninja. I've been wanting a vette for such a long time and just haven't been riding the bike. I dont know what's gotten into me, but the last year or so, I just haven't been all that interested in riding and seem to have come to terms with my own mortality or something.
So I watched my beloved bike be driven off into the sunset tonight by a stranger. I almost cried. I think it would have been easier if I had the vette in the driveway. Anyway, I am leaving first thing tomorrow to get my "new" C5! So, hopefully the shock of the bike being gone will get taken away by the Vette. I had to sell the bike to afford the vette, god I hope it was worth it.....I think it's going to be.
Thanks! It's a 98 with 47,000miles, Pewter coupe. The guy that owns it had driven it a grand total of 3kmi in the last two years and refuses to take it on the main highway from San Antonio to Austin because he is afraid of rock chips. The interior is IMMACULATE!! The exterior and paint is perfect BUT...it has ONE rock chip!! ONE!
I doubt you will regret selling your ninja, but trust me you will buy another sportbike. As great as our vettes are-and I mean relly fun, nothing is as fun to rip than a sportbike. I did the same thing as you last year with selling my 2005 636 ninja and no matter how happy I was with my vette-I could not live without my bike, so I purchased a new R1 for this year. The vette and bike will just have to split riding time. Good luck!!
After a nice misshift in the C5, I took the GSXR 1000 out to get a set of chomemoly pushrods. Nothing beats the power of a wheelie machine. But its real nice getting somewhere almost as fast without a jacket, helmet, gloves, etc. I recommend having one of each
I wish I could post pics of those 2 pushrods....like a 35 to 40 degree bend. $140 later and it wont happen again. Stock pushrods
You'll end up with another bike. I sold my F4i for the same reason. I went a total of 3 weeks before I was popping in bike shops "Just to look at bikes". Within 6 weeks of selling my F4i I had a new 954RR
Bikes and Cars are just two different experiences.
I am kinda backwards my bike is for long trips, the vette is for ripping around town I have to have both. I mean all three DRZ400 to rip in the dirt. But it's hard to find time for all three but I manage
