jacking up method?

jacking up method?

best way to get the jack under the car. how do you guys do it? i was thinking of driving up on 2x4's. would that work?

2x6's or, if you're only jacking one end, drive up on ramps.

Seriously though, I got two 2x10x10s.

Cut each into 5', 3' and 2' pieces.

Nailed the shorter pieces on top of the longer ones. You can even angle your cuts, but I didn't take the time to do so.

$19 and 10 minutes later I had ~6" ramps that were enough to either get under the front to change the filter/clean the radiator or get a jack under the front.

Rear has never been an issue as long as I don't lift the front too far to start.

JMHO.
