Default Power Mirror switch?

Both power mirrors inoperative.

It is the switch, both motors (that would be weird), or somewhere in the wiring. Definately not the fuse.

I have the power mirror switch out of the car.

Can a Chevy Dealer test the switch to see if it is good or bad?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks, but I gave that a try already. I still think it's a bum switch, but don't want to buy a new one unless I know for sure this one is DEAD.

That's why I'm hoping the dealer can test them.

Can they???

Hey mark!

Hows sunny Florida?

another option would be to find a fellow forum member with a C5 and just swap his drivers switch panel into yours to see if it makes a difference.

Hey Tom!
How've you been?
Florida has just been FANTASTIC!
Golfing 2-3 times a week, playing with Vettes (neighborhood has 4), poolside cocktails, beaches..... Lifes been GOOD!

How's everything in Jersey? Starting to taske out the PC now, Hey?

We still have #367 Pace Car.

Actually the mirror switch problem isn't on my PC it is on a neighbors '99. I don't really want to take mine apart to switch with him. Do you think the dealer can test it?

Be sure to let me know if you ever get down this way..... we'll rip it up!
Later,
Mark D.

Mark,

things are good here!
the weather is starting to get really nice! just about top down time for me..

The switch assy just pops out from the door panel (I know this because I installed blue LED's in my door switches).
so it's nothing to test it with your switch assy.

where in Florida is Venice?

"Left Coast"
Gulf of Mexico side......
We're 15 miles south of Sarasota, 65 miles south of Tampa and 70 miles north of Naples. My house is 4 miles from Venice Beach!
I actually drove the PC up to Corvettes @ Carlisle last August. Took 2 days..... Nice ride! Didn't see you there this year.

Comin' down?

BTW.... I love what you did to the nose of the PC.... AWESOME

I was there!

I wish I would have known you were comin' up for it, we could have hooked up, are you coming for it this year?

I didn't park with the Pace Car registry last year, Carlisle hid them behind a food stand behind the auction.

the only people walking past there were the ones parking for the auction, plus all of the pickup trucks and trailers going down that road to park for the auction were kicking up a lot of dust, no way I was parking my car there!

so I parked down on the fun field next to Jim and Janet dawes, near the west coast corvettes tent.

The Tigershark fascia looks mean on the Pace Car huh?

still planning on the motor city hood, just don't know when I'll be doing it.

I am planing a trip down there this summer to visit my parents in Port St Lucie.
