Default Shift *****

I noticed there are a hell of a lot of shift ***** available for this car. I have a Hurst Billet Plus, and I like the Shape of the factory one but not the look, anyone have any suggestions? I had the Factory Hurst **** on my old TA that I liked the look of, unfortunately that doesnt match my black leather interior.

What do you all have thats similar to the factory one... and where can I get it?

You'll get a lot of preferences on this one, but take a look at the Momo Line (EVO's)

It is excellent, comes in black or white, and was $49 at corvettegarage.com... The Hurst logo is on both sides too.

(and the black one does NOT get hot in the sun)

This IS similar to a factory shifter, only circa 1978....

Parts are from a '78, the "T" toggle is NOT functional, but it
fits right over the lever, and the threads on the ball are stock, fitting exactly. I like my "retro" look.
The shift pattern is from the stock ****, filed down and siliconed to the console.

The MOMO's feel really good. I've run them in several of my manual cars. I went with a Delrin Race **** on my Z and didn't think it would feel good by the looks but I was wrong. It is a great feeling **** and the price is about 1/2 of a momo. Some of the Momo's look really nice though, lots of options far as colors and materials with the momo line.

Pic of the Delrin ****, they use it in the race prep C5.

Great pic of the Delrin, Dantas. BTW: I have always loved the Hurst Shifters and Hurst Shift *****. In fact, I would like to install a Hurst Shift **** in place of all the closet door, and, bathroom faucet handles in our house, BUT, my better half would not tolerate such eccentricity (and, would "crap a Hella big fat one"), and, has requested that I relegate my mods to the Corvette, only.

Saaaay, that looks exactly like the **** in my 68 - burned the heck out of my hand if left in the sun, but good-looking.

I now prefer the combo-pistol/ball style that I patterned after a popular rubber type. Here's a before and after shift boot:

The "glass" is alot easier on the skip after sitting in the sun.
